Hi everyone, hoping to get some help with a frustrating issue I'm struggling to fix.
My viewers are frequently experiencing errors whilst viewing my stream, sometimes brief disconnects (the purple screen) and sometimes "Error:2000". When checking my stream in a browser tab I have also seen the issue. It happens randomly, sometimes I can stream for 4 hours with no issues and then other times it happens constantly, like tonight. Naturally it has a negative effect on my viewers experiences. This happens to all viewers at the same time, example:
Mid-stream I tried switching out ethernet cables etc. My OBS usually shows no missed rendering frames, no skipped frames and no dropped frames due to network. However the log for tonight's stream shows some, which makes me believe it's an ISP issue or similar.
I've tried running long trace tests (multiple times, including during the stream - when errors occurred the traces picked up no issues) by pinging google etc through CMD prompt, every type I've test I run comes back saying not a single lost packet etc, example in image below:
I have good internet speed, however this obviously is not indicative of consistency (clearly in this case):
I've run the Twitch Bandwidth Test V2 and the results are below:
I've tried changing multiple settings within OBS for various streams, decreasing bitrate (5000, 6000, 7000 - all same result) and encoding settings etc and it makes 0 difference, the problem still occurs. With the settings I use currently (shown in log) my stream is crystal clear when working.
I am using an ethernet cable at all times, no other device is experiencing issues and the PC I'm streaming on shows no Event Viewer errors and I can still view websites etc without issue when the problems seem to occur.
I've attached an OBS log file. Any help would be greatly appreciated, including any suggestions for tests I can run to try and identify the issue and if it's e.g. router or ISP etc - anything that would help me when discussing with my internet provider if required.
Thank you,
Duelsy.
