Question / Help Twitch.Tv problem

Trying to stream to twitch.tv.. i have watch several videos on how to set up OBS and have done everything but when I start streaming , nothing is transmitted to twitch.tv. I have tried resetting the stream key several times as well with switching servers. What am I not doing?

Maybe you have a Firewall running?
Ive read about that problem another User had

tried turning off firewall and antivirus..(avast) it also says 0/kb on bottom when streaming

You're not the only one having this issue, since I use TwitchTV and noticed this just now.

EDIT: The Miami, FL server is down and that's the closest server in my area.

Twitch seems to be having major issues all over the East coast.
