When i live stream directly from my Elgato it is perfect 720p with no lag spikes at all. When I stream using OBS or Xsplit so i can add a overlay, it lags tremendously. I tried to download the newest update of Elgato because the update has an option to stream with an overlay, It does the same thing, lag. I have no idea what could be the issue. Again, I can live sream perfectly with the version of elgato I have right now.

Download 54 mbps
Upload 30 mbps
Ping 9

Here is the computer I have

If anyone has any tips on how i can improve OBS or xsplit with adjusting the settings that would be greatly appreciated!

This would probably be better posted in the Questions and Help forum than Bug Reports... if you open a new thread there, please make sure to submit a log file; it'll let us see what's going on, on the back end to cause the problem.

Also, may want to describe 'lag' a bit more, as thirty people will use that term to describe thirty different things; anything from slow in-game performance, to frame skipping, buffering, stuttering, even the delay between what's happening on their game and what people on the livestream will see.

Be aware that the Elgato software may be using lower presets than the defaults in OBS, or whatever you've set them to use. Chances are, this is a user configuration problem.
