Question / Help Trying to stream Cubase 10 Pro with OBS

So I am trying to stream Cubase 10 Pro on twitch using OBS. The issue I am having is that OBS will NOT playback the audio, aka, my viewers hear nothing but my windows sounds, me talking, or spotify, youtube videos, etc. The other weird part is I can hear the audio perfectly fine through my headphones that are connected to my Mixer (Yamaha MG10XU). So far the only answer I can find is by downloading and using Voice Meter. Honestly, It's pretty sad if that is the only way to fix this issue.... Anyone have any idea how I can get this working?

Thanks!

You don't need VoiceMeeter, it's also not an OBS issue, it's an ASIO issue. All you need is ReaStream from the ReaPlugs suite.

Put a ReaStream on your Master Channel in Cubase /any DAW running in ASIO driver mode.
Set it to Send: 127.0.0.1 or *local broadcast from the dropdown
Add a ReaStream filter to your Desktop Audio Source in OBS

Done. Takes about 30 seconds, doesn't require VoiceMeeter

@DEDRICK, Thanks so much for this reply. This has gotten my much closer than I have been before. I currently have my DAW (Cubase) routing to the ASIO driver for my audio interface and ReaStream as an insert on the master channel broadcasting to 127.0.0.1. All of that appears to be working fine.

I tried both local broadcast and 127.0.0.1, but am not seeing the signal in OBS on my audio output capture. Setting up the filter was no problem, but I suspect I either have the wrong audio output capture device, or I have set something wrong in my Windows sound control panel.

Can you please show screenshots for your OBS audio output capture, and what your default drivers are in your windows control panel? Or, if you think the issue is probably something else, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

I will check this when I get home.

If you see the ReaStream meter moving Cubase it is sending audio, it should be as simple as adding the filter to your desktop device in OBS, you don't havw to change anything on it.

Make sure the identifier is default on both of them.

It's possible your Windows Firewall is actually blocking it, when you first set up ReaStream it should prompt you for a Firewall rule.

You may also need to launch OBS as Administrator, localhost requires elevated privileges apparently

Thanks, DEDRICK. Run as Administrator solved it for me. This also solved the lag/delay issue I was having with other methods of DAW streaming (VoiceMeeter).

Hello there, brand new poster here. Do either of you happen to know if I can pull off the above with Cubase 8? Cubase 10 won't support some of my old plugs so I'm stuck with v8 until they fix some bugs. In the meantime, I'd love to be able to use OBS to live stream musicians recording in my studio using different cams in each room as they play but output my stereo bus from Cubase 8 so I have control over the audio mix. Thx in advance!

I did this, It's working OK but when I try to stream sound AWFUL
My setup is OBS+Cubase 10 + Focusrite saffire pro40 as the sound card
I hear a lot of glitches and cracking noises on the streaming audio. I want to use OBS to srtream studio session when I'm producing music. Audio is the most important and is being a pain in the a**

Any suggestions?

Interesting. I use a Focusrite Pro40 also and every time I try to use it with OBS, I get sound crackles from time to time. It's impossible to broadcast like that. Even though I listen perfectly fine on the studio speakers, when broadcasting, I get crackles. I changed interface, for an old Echoaudio Layla 24 and it works fine. It has something to do with focusrite drivers and OBS.

Hey guys, so I followed along with the steps in the forum post and got it working. I tried doing a stream today and OBS either just crashed or no audio was being sent from Cubase Artist 10 to OBS. Any ideas?

Cheers

Brand newbie here. Want to bring our audio from our missing board into OBS from Cubase LE which we just installed with purchase of new Zoon UAC2 audio interface. The aim is to do a few live-streams on Facebook to generate income as we are performing musicians whose restaurants haven’t called us back yet. Downloaded the ReaStream Standalone plugin and set that up as per instructions from a YouTube engineer guy, as apparently you need that for Cubase LE and OBS to talk to one another. Looks like our audio is coming into the DAW ok, but it’s not flowing into OBS. Can someone suggest where I might go for step by step directions? I may need help with the initial audio connections setup.

Dedrick,
I, too, have having the exact problems still as above. I have ReaStream added into both Cubase (I've got LE....does that make a difference?), and the meter shows audio going to OBS. I applied the ReaStream filter to the Audio Input Capture in OBS, but the meter is dead. I am using a Zoom UAC-2 interface. Any ideas? thank you.

Hey there
I am using ReaStream and Cubase for half a year now. Works perfectly. Just...
I have a minimal sound/video delay. It's not so bad, but enough to annoy me, if Icheck my stream afterwards.I am using my Focusrite 2i2 (3rd Gen) with USB-C and have no hearable delay on my headphones, so where could this delay come from?

Hey guys! I've been trying to use ReStream to connect multiple DAWs (Ableton, Cubase 5, 10) (in separate instances of course) to OBS and so far have been unsuccessful.
The problem is that even though the ReStream insert in the master track in my DAW is picking up signal, the one in OBS doesn't receive any.
I have checked that the identifiers are the same and that I'm running OBS as administrator.

Also, I am using a Behringer UMC404HD Audio Interface which I have selected as the ASIO device/driver in my DAW.

I've also tried using Voicemeeter but that shit it waay to complicated and have no idea how to use it properly.

Any help would be much appreciated. :)
