Question / Help Trying to Record League of Legends

I've been trying to record League of Legends, but of the three methods I've tried, none are working. I tried using Game Capture, but when browsing what to record, it didn't appear.

Next I tried Window Capture. It had the LoL client, so I chose it, but then it only recorded the client that has the menus, when the game started, the recording did not capture any of the gameplay, and then when I try to use Window after the game has started, it does not have League as an option.

I then tried Monitor Capture, and it was perfectly fitted for all other things and it looks great, but then when I go into a league game, the video gets smaller and goes into the corner, but it is recording gameplay.

I am new to OB and would greatly appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Here's what I did:


  1. Open OBS
  2. Right-click the Sources pane and select Add followed my Game Capture
  3. Name it whatever you want, something like LoL or League of Legends.
  4. Open LoL and start a custom match where you are the only player (login, Play, Custom, Normal, Create Game, bullshit password, Team Size 1, Create Game, Start Game, Yes, select a champ, Lock In, wait until game has started and you are able to control your character).
  5. Flip back to OBS and refresh the Application dropdown menu. You should see an entry similar to [League of Legends]: League of Legends (TM) Client. Select that one and hit OK.

You should now see your LoL game. If not, flip back to LoL and change the video setting's Windowed Mode to Borderless. This allows you to Alt+Tab without having to minimize the game and just let it sit in the background. Also, if you plan on having any sort of overlay in OBS, right-click the LoL source and change the order to Move To Bottom so you can have the webcam, text, etc. above it.

Current as of Open Broadcaster Software v0.584b

Tested and approved.

why my obs still can't record league of legends,i change the borderless mode already and i use game capture,still can't record league of legends

PLEASE HELP ME!!!
