Question / Help Trying to Record a Video in a Video....window capture not working.

So at night i'm not able to record with voice due to sleeping roommates and thin walls, so I was trying to record gameplay and then re-record gameplay and add voice later fpr cpmmentary. I tried to open the video and use window capture to grab the video for recording, but it's not showing up. Thoughts?
