Question / Help Trying to record a game but hotkey doesnt work

Hi im trying to record a game on steam, so I open the game and in sources I put game mode, left click on "Game Capture" then I select the application and a hotkey, I fire the game and once it loads, I press the hotkey combination (in this case im using shift + f10) and it doesn't do anything.
Why??
