I'm pretty new to OBS, so far pretty impressed with the community and what it has to offer. I have a portable install set up on a USB stick so I can take it from computer to computer. So far it works pretty well but there are a couple issues I am hoping have work arounds. 2 have to do with setting up a profile that auto configures, the other 2 have to do with input sources.
1.) is it possible to have a causal statement in the profile? I would love to be able to have it use NVENC, VCE, Quicksynch if available and then default back to software if none are present.
2.) If I enter %userprofile%\videos into the recording destination in the profile it correctly resolves once, but then changes the file. Is there a way to make it stay %userprofile% ?
3.) I take a Blue Yeti mic with me, but the Audio input capture for it always switches to "default". Interestingly enough when I open it up to reselect the correct input it immediately starts working BEFORE i actually select it. But if i don't reselect it immediately breaks when i close the dialog box. Looking at the scene json I see some USB identifiers, is there maybe some way to have it reaquire by name instead of explicit id?
4.) I take a Logitech c920 webcam with it and the video capture shows up correctly identified, but it fails to acquire video until i switch it to something else, and then back. Same type of question as 3 but it expresses differently.
The suprising part to me is that my avermedia live gamer mini re identifies automatically, so i know OBS is capable of doing it.
Thanks for any advice you have to give.
