Question / Help Trying to fix the ElGato Game Capture HD delay with OBS

Hi, I just got my Elgato today and I'm having trouble getting rid of the delay between what I do on my T.V and what appears on my stream in OBS. Whenever I preview the stream, the delay seems to be about 1.5-2 seconds. I've tried adjusting the audio and video delay in OBS settings and the Elgato settings. However, whenever I adjust the Elgato's video settings, the resolution/picture gets zoomed in, until I reset my console (Wii).

That's how the Elgato works, you can't fix it. Delay your other audio devices so they sync up.

So I should just keep the stream on and adjust it until it looks okay? I would have to do this if I had a webcam as well, correct?

Webcams typically have a smaller delay, but it's still there. You can use an async delay filter on the webcam to sync it up, in addition to the sync offsets in the OBS mixer for your audio devices.
