Trying to digitise VHS tapes from Matsui VCR

Trying to digitise VHS tapes from Matsui VCR that only has a scart output (and works on TV set to AV). Have connected red, white and yellow cables to Mini AV2HDMI Up Scaler that is powered via USB. HDMI to HDMI connected to HDMI Video Capture card and from there to USB. OBS 30.0.2 recognises that there is a USB 3.0 Capture but the display reads No Signal when the tape is playing. I have checked the particular tape plays through the TV. What am I doing wrong (complete novice here!)?

Did you tried to capture anything else with this capture card? Like signal from TV-box, camera or even PC (modern PCs has more then 1 output).

Logically is to try to connect your upscaler to display device to see if it works. You monitor has HDMI input?
