I know is outdated on the "must use" 32 bit for 32 bit games so that now it doesn't matter which version of OBS you use, but I saw the comment that

The TFix patch requires you to install
I forced windowed mode in the cam_ext config file which makes it full screen windowed.
I can select the name in the drop down list trying to set up game capture but I am only getting a black window.
Even with all this, is there no other way than to screen capture?

From what I was able to find out, it seems to use DirectX 7.

3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended)
