Hey sweet streamers :)!
I'm currently running some funny videos though a window with wmp and vlc. But when i run the window in a scene, doesn't the window within the video show up on my stream/obs? However is the controls working... Am i doing something complete wrong?

Isn't Windows movie player and VLC supported in OBS? Is there a way to get it working, or shall i give up totally?

You can add videos directly in OBS Studio - just use 'Media Source' or 'VLC Video Source' (for 64bit obs you need 64bit vlcplayer installed in the system, then new source - 'VLC Video Source' will be available for you).

Does that mean window capture will no longer work for vlc? ive been using that extensively before switching to 64bit version. its nice because you can use the playback functions while streaming to pause/jump ahead. Now i dont see my video in the window capture.

The capture success highly depends on how application works (rendered). Did you try to change Video Output settings of the VLC Player? What version of the VLC Player?
