Trouble with recording multiple audio tracks

Hi, new to OBS and looking to record gameplay with commentary. For editing, I'd like to have my mic audio as a separate track from game audio. I've followed OBS's steps for recording multiple audio tracks but when I stop recording I still only get one video file with all the audio tracks combined. I've googled and browsed the forums here but can't find anything that I haven't already done. Any help would be much appreciated! I'm attaching screenshots of my settings.

Yes, that's right.
You are recording on track 1 both audio sources so when you watch the video you'll hear this track. You need to select one of the other tracks to actually hear them. With VLC player can do this.

Any modern video editor can see all the audio tracks separated and allow you to edit it.

Thank you for the reply! I've been using clipchamp to edit but it doesn't seem to recognize that there are different audio tracks. When I drag and drop the OBS recording into it it just imports the video with both tracks attached. Even when I detach the audio there, both gameplay and voice audio are combined. I thought maybe it was a clipchamp issue but I also tried it in Openshot and the same thing happens. Any ideas?

Watch the video with VLC player. There you can change the track you are listening to.
As for editing video software, DaVinci Resolve. It's free. It's professional software. The paid version add some professional things most humans would never use.

Thank you! I went ahead and downloaded DaVinci and all three separate tracks came up right away when I added the video! I think Clipchamp and Openshot just don't support multiple tracks, or if they do it's not user friendly. Thank you so much for your time and advice, it got me to a solution! I hope you have a lovely day and/or night!

You record to 3 tracks. In track 1, you configured OBS to mix both sources. That's what you seem to listen to, and what your postprocescing software seems to read. In track 2, you configured OBS to record desktop audio only, and in track 3, you configured OBS to record mic only. To find your separated audio, you need postprocessing software that is able to recognize multiple tracks and that is able you to select audio from track 2 and from track 3.

You have 3 audio tracks and 1 video track in one media file. It is normal.

To extract audio tracks from media file you may try FFmpeg util. See: https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...o-to-6-different-mp3-files.157425/post-576717

Also, you may try Audacity v3.0.2 application to get all your audio tracks and edit them in this popular wave editor (don't forget to download required FFmpeg dll file for the Audacity itself).
Thank you for the reply, I was able to figure it out!
