Question / Help Trouble with dropped frames last 48 hours

I've been having issues out of nowhere starting about 48 hours ago. Every few minutes with just a bandwidth test upload KB/s will drop to zero.

Reset everything. Had my ISP reset from their end. Router/Modem is only about a year old. Speed/lines test are good.

Tried Xsplit/beam/twitch. Installed the hotfix and even rolled back to reinstall 18.0.1. Checked and allowed firewall.

Tried rolling back the most recent windows update.

Not sure what else to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Join the club as of monday 5/8 several of us have been screwed. Settings we've ran for years just up and quit working due to a stealth update by Windows. So now we wait for work arounds or official fixes. I tested a few other streaming programs as well and anything just starts an upload to an RTMP every just tanks.

Nothing we can do when it's an internet connection issue.
but it's not a connection issue when you run other streaming programs and they run flawlessly.

In my testing it's isolated only to OBS after running test on Xsplit, Lightstream / Infiniscene and even streaming through shadowplay.

Yeah, my issue is my connection. Xsplit wouldn't let me stream with a bitrate over 2k and tried to connect me to a Toronto server when I live in Philly. Beam was a mess, too.

OBS frames have gotten better but the twitch servers are still very very poor.

Proximity isn't a good metric to go by for streaming. The quality column is what you need to target, and anything below about 80 in that column will have greatly reduced reliability regardless of how close you are to it.

Right, up until a few days ago that whole column was between 75-100 now I have sub 50 at best.

At this point the windows update seems to be the culprit.
