Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how I can get my game window to fit, there are these black bars on the side and I cant seem to get the game window to fit perfectly in the screen. My in game res is the same as my obs settings 1680x1050. I watched a tutorial on how to do this and in the video the guy just drags the game capture window to a top corner of the screen and drags it to the other corner with the game fitting perfectly in the obs window, for some reason it's not working for me. any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

1680x1050 is 16:10 aspect ratio, while the usual HD monitors have 1920x1080 with 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as Youtube and Twitch, who all expect 16:9 aspect ratio footage. Aspect ratio is the ratio of horizontal to vertical resolution. 16:9 is more longish, while 16:10 is more quadratic, to speak in figures.
If you try to playback 16:10 aspect ratio in a 16:9 aspect ratio player window, you get black bars to the right and the left to fit the more quadratic video into the more longish player window.
To avoid black bars, make your source aspect ratio the same as the player aspect ratio. In most cases, this should be 16:9. Play and record your game in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
