Transitions Deactivated

I have discovered that if you happen to be in studio mode and use the keyboard's arrow keys whilst the transitions area is selected, it will highlight <Transition>, <Cut>, <Fade>, <Fade to Black>, etc.

If you use the up arrow enough times it will highlight each one from the bottom to the top. Once on <Transition>, if the key is pressed one more time it greys out all the transition choices and I cannot find a way to get it back without closing the software and restarting it.

Is there a way I'm missing to restore this or is it a bug in the system?
