Bug Report Top of stream cutting off with OBS

When I try to stream, it adds a weird layer to the bottom of my stream and it cuts off the top part. When I right click in the white 'edit scene' box, it goes away for a second. Can anyone help? I can screenshot if needed.

Quite unusual. I must admit I've never seen this before. If you're not using monitor capture I would recommend turning aero on and using an aero theme to enable hardware acceleration for the desktop -- might also fix the problem, but I'm not entirely sure. Or you might want to try deleting the window capture and re-creating it, that might also work.

I've tried both of those, the thing is, it only happens with window capture. When i'm in game, it's fine. I'm going to try and talk to my friend in the morning for some help, unless anyone knows how to fix this :/

It even happens when aero is enabled? And are you using an aero theme for windows and not windows basic or windows classic themes? Because you do have to use the actually glass/aero theme for aero to be fully enabled. If aero is on, then I really am quite baffled as to why window capture would be doing that, I've never seen that happen before. I wish I had direct access to the computer to find out the exact cause.

The only other suggestion I could make is just to use monitor capture instead. Or, alternatively, try cropping monitor capture. If you're using it just for the lobby then you can ignore the framerate issue it has if you have aero on (just make sure to turn on "use CFR" in advanced).

Qutie strange though, I would love to spend some further time with the computer seeing what's going on some time.

I might try just using monitor capture, but yea, the aero theme is fully enabled on my cpu and either enabled or disabled it does that weird thing. This is my first time on the forums also, btw.

Well thanks for letting me know at least. I'll keep an eye out for similar posts regarding this (or maybe someone else who's experienced it might post here, though I've just never seen this happen before). Working around it might be what you'll have to do in the time being.
