Question / Help To Stream Or Not To Stream?

Hi, I am new to OBS and attempted to stream but the feed coming from Twitch is very choppy, others who stream regularly say its likely my computer that cannot handle it, I have six gigs of RAM, so that surprises me, but may be more to it then that, can anyone confirm what my issue may be, or maybe if its just a settings issue?

Would the same thing apply just for recording video, and not streaming, having the same problem with it being choppy, figured it was just a stream issue....
