TILING RED WINDOWS FOR DESKTOP CAPTURE IN MAC

WHEN I DO A DISPLAY CAPTURE I GET A ZOOM EFFECT OF TILING RED WINDOWS THAT GO ON FOR INFINITY, EACH GETTING SMALLER AND SMALLER. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG, HOW TO GET RID OF THIS EFFECT?????

Sounds like the classic "feedback" effect, of capturing the same display that shows what's being captured. Audio can do that too, as an increasing screech or persistent echo.

Either way, the solution is to break that loop, which already happens when you no longer show the screen capture on the same screen. Immediately, the stream or recording will clear up.

New to OBS, how tp no longer show the screen capture on the same screen? Working off a Mac lap top.

Only using one screen.

You don't. I meant it literally, regardless of how it happens. When you switch to a different app, for example, that screen is no longer showing the capture...
