This Software Is...

I just wanted to stop by real quick to give my opinion of OBS.

I've been streaming a LONGTIME now. I've used everythhing under the sun from justintv propitary streamer they had when they first opened up (yes \a longtime ago lol) to FME to Xsplit etc. Ive shyed away from OBS never really wantedto try it out, to be honest I didnt like the way it looked lol.
But I finally got sick of Xsplit locking my system up all day like it does to everyone and decided after 8 year to try out OBS a few days ago. I cannot belive it Ive never used a streamer that used so LITTLE system resourcces...My streams looks better than they ever have Im just in disbelief lol.
I have 3 OBS running at the sametime streaming to 3 different hosts using as little as 120 megs of ram!

Thank You programmers here man you are life savers! I will \ recommend your app to anyone I can!

So ya just wanted to give thanks for a great piece of software...ccya!

I'm gonna do you a favor and let you know about nginx-rtmp-module, which if you set it up right will make it so that you can run *one* copy of OBS, encode once, and throw that encoded stream at your 3 different hosts. Unless you're encoding differently for each of your hosts, this should decrease your CPU load drastically:

https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-set-up-your-own-private-rtmp-server-using-nginx.12891/ The Windows Binaries can be found at: http://nginx-win.ecsds.eu/

Also, the rewrite of OBS that's currently being worked on (it's a ways away still) will allow you to do this sort of multicast natively.

On top of running 3 OBS instances I have 3 monitors on this one laptoop 1 monitor is what the obs is streaming the other 2 monitors r filled wil open programs and windows and the whole system is running smooth as hell lol Im in Disbelief.
