The yellow frame does not change color.

Hi.
When you run the programs, a yellow frame appears. And before, when you press the record key, this frame turned red and I realized that there was a recording from the screen. After updating the program, the yellow frame does not change color. Is there any way to enable this option? It's just inconvenient to check the program's activation every time on one monitor.

Or is there some kind of plugin?

The yellow border around some window or the desktop is just an indication by Windows that some app is capturing the content of that window or of the desktop. It doesn't indicate if the capturing app is doing something with the capture (writing to disk as video or streaming) or just capturing for nothing, such as for preview.

It's also only drawn if some special capture mode is used by OBS, not for all capture modes. It is always yellow and never changed color.

May be you mistake this with the border drawn around sources in the OBS preview, drawn by OBS. These borders can change color and the color gives some information about the type of border. However, even these borders never change their color to indicate that a recording is currently in progress or not.

Isn't there some kind of plug-in to the program so that during the capture there is a sign on top that recording is in progress? Or something else? Because it is fully enabled on one monitor and in the game, it is not clear whether the program is working or not.

Active recording is visualized by the obs system tray icon. Unfortunately, there is no more prominent visualization.

And there are number of other approaches from opening Windowed Projector and binding its content to OBS events (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/pause-icon-in-video-windows.175234/post-646138) to audio warnings that can playback constantly until action taken (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/notification-program-during-recording.156454/post-572955). Some of the solutions were work OK in the past and may not work today, some only for Windows OS.

If you working with OBS on a daily basis then a second Display is a "must have device" for you.
