The Priority Setting doesn't work

Hello, I changed the priority to "high" in the Advanced menu but when I check in he task manager, OBS priority remains to normal.

The priority adjusts when an output is active.

Thanks for your quick reply. No, the output is active (Elgato) as you can see in the Youtube video below, but the priority (high) is ignored. I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64.

An output is a stream or recording session.

hmmm ok. Would be nice to allow priority to apply when we're in preview mode though. I think I'm not the only one who likes to watchTV through my Capture Card in OBS. It would be nice also to prevent sleep when we're in preview mode (like vlc does).

Or at least give us the possibility in the options to enable or not, that way everyone is happy.

Those problems are not specific to Windows 7, otherwise I wouldn't report them.

I use NDS and this problem occurs as well, I have to manually set high priority in task manager because I'm using a 2 pc setup. I would caution revealing the OS because they will jump to the excuse that it's "not supported" and close tickets. You have to duplicate it on a "supported" OS and re-open the ticket proving it had nothing to do with the OS.

same issue on windows 11. it stays normal even when it is streaming/encoding. i need to use task manager right click priority.
