Question / Help the hdmi is stretching my picture screen.

hi, I usually have a DVI cable conected with the screen (it is HP 2311x fullhd), but when I conect the elgato with a HDMI cable it stetches the picture. also it records it like it was normal but it isn´t. I tried changing the resolution but it only makes the picture smaller and the top and bottom is still cut out.
 
Try checking your graphics card software, usually in digital display settings for overscan, most HD screens have an overscan option when connected via HDMI, it's an issue mostly associated with ATI cards
