The cursor highlight does not appear in the capture window / La surbrillance du curseur n’apparaît pas en capture fenêtre

Not being an English speaker, I translated my message with DeepL. I hope it will be clear :)

To add to my written tutorials a video version I installed OBS Studio 27.2.4 and PenAttention 11 (which allows to highlight the cursor). But if I take a video screenshot with the window as source, the cursor is present but not the highlighting. On the other hand, if I take as source the screen the highlighting is present.

Pour ajouter à mes tutoriels écris une version vidéo j'ai installé OBS Studio 27.2.4 et PenAttention 11 (qui permet de mettre en surbrillance le curseur). Mais si je fais une capture d'écran vidéo avec comme source la fenêtre, le curseur est bien présent mais pas la surbrillance. Par contre, si je prends comme source l'écran la surbrillance est présente.

Window capture captures only the window of the app you configured in the source. Anything that draws over this window isn't captured - it's an additional drawing layer for Windows. May be you can capture your highlighting app as well and try to overlay both within OBS. Other than that, your workaround will be to use display capture as you already found out. Display capture just captures what you see on the screen.

Thanks for the information. So I will do with the screenshot. But while reading your answer I had an idea. What bothers me in the screenshot is to see the taskbar at the bottom. To fix this I will put the window that should be captured in full screen with the F11 key (under Linux and Windows).

Merci pour l'information. Je vais donc faire avec la capture d’écran. Mais en lisant ta réponse j'ai eu une idée. Ce qui me gêne dans la capture d’écran c'est de voir la barre des tâches en bas. Pour régler ça je vais mettre la fenêtre qui doit être capturée en plein écran avec la touche F11 (sous Linux et Windows).
