Hey guys and gals,

I am fairly new to the streaming community and espsecially OBS. I am an avid xsplit user but since they have been trying to charge me for everything I thought it was time to jump ship and come join the OBS fam! Anyways, enough jibber jabber.

My current desktop specs are:

CPU: AMD Athlon x4 860k Processor, 4.0 GHz Max Turbo, 3.7 GHz Base
GPU: PowerColor Radeon R7 260x 2GB
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 8.1

My Current Internet specs are:

Download: 90,51 Mbps
Upload: 22.73 Mbps

I am trying to get the most out of my stream and I have used the Estimator but I was just wanting some community input as to what settings I should be using to get the best stream quality with the hardware and network at hand.

Regards,

Test and try different settings. Do local recordings and review them.
The 'golden point' for non-partnered streamers on Twitch is 720p, 30fps, 2000kbps.
Yes, even if you have 22Mbps up. It's about making sure that people can watch your stream without buffering, and going over 2000kbps will send more and more of your potential viewers into buffering hell.

Oh, and don't follow 'best settings' guides. Generally speaking, the people who write them are just parroting stuff they've heard before, and in many cases the settings inside will actually be harmful/detrimental, or just set settings to their default values.
