The audio in general sounds distorted, like something is popping

I need help, the audio on my PC sounds distorted like something is cracking just from opening OBS, it doesn't even only happen when recording or streaming, it's frustrating and I've already tried everything. I checked that the frequencies matched and the GPU usage, but nothing fixes it. I've even watched way too many tutorials—so many that, if it weren't for that annoying noise, I'd say I've never heard my voice sound this good.

 
When audio cracks or pops the moment OBS opens—even before you hit record—it almost always means OBS is locking your Windows audio driver into an aggressive buffer or processing state. Since you’ve already aligned your sample rates (48kHz/44.1kHz), the issue is likely rooted in audio subsystem conflicts, device driver hooks, or buffer underruns.
