Question / Help Textures flickering on playback

I'm pretty new to OBS and recording gameplay in general so bare with me. I've been trying to use OBS to record an old game called Fable The Lost Chapters and everything seems to be going fine at first. But when I view the recording in VLC, Winamp, or Blender I see a bunch of flickering that I didn't see during gameplay. The whole screen doesn't flicker, just certain elements in the game like the sky and the people. It's strange and a little frustrating that the program is recording a problem that I don't see.

Any help is appreciated. I don't know if a log file will be helpful since OBS isn't giving me an error or malfunctioning in any way. It just seems to be some kind of conflict with the graphics. I will reproduce the problem and post a log anyway as soon as I can.

I have tried changing in-game settings to almost every conceivable configuration including options like quality, vsync (on flickers less than off), antialiasing, resolution, aspect ratio, color depth (16 flickers less than 32). An option I haven't messed with is refresh rate (60hz). My monitor's refresh rate can go up to 74 but it's connected through DVI not HDMI, so I think 60hz should be fine right? I've installed and run the game as administrator and in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. I'm using Windows 7 with a graphics card GeForce GT 740 and 8GB RAM.

In OBS I capture the game with Display Capture because Window and Game capture don't see the game. Window Capture can only see the game if I force it into window mode using a program called 3D Analyzer. OBS settings are 1280x720 using encoder Software (x264), flv format, high quality medium file size, 60fps.

This is a known side effect when trying to use display capture on fullscreen games. Game capture or windowed mode / window capture are best used instead.

Thanks that helps me a lot to work around the problem. I think I found a solution that is working so far without any flickering. I'm using 3D Analyzer to force the game into windowed mode which allows OBS to capture the game with Window Capture. Another program called Windowed Borderless Gaming removes the title bar and borders, filling up the screen with the game field so that it's identical to fullscreen mode.
