Text not centering in text box

Trying to centre a simple timer in a text box to no avail.
The text is centre aligned on both axis but remains off-centre to the left.

Is there any workaround possible?

Text-positioning has been a long-standing bug for years at this point. It's been a low priority/backburnered issue for quite some time. Very frustrating.
