Question / Help Text is blurry in video

Hey everyone. I've scoured the Internet looking for some advice and so far nothing has worked for me, even using settings that I've been told should give me high quality video. I'm not actually recording a game, rather a text-based adventure and the video always turns out blurry. I suppose it's not a huge deal, but I don't want to upload a poor quality video. I can include a link to the video, so you can see what I mean.

As compared to what the game screen actually looks like: http://tinypic.com/r/4izewo/9

I'm using OBS Studios and I'm still fairly new to it. I'm using Window Capture because for some reason Game Capture doesn't want to work with Zombie Exodus.

Here's some screenshots of the settings I'm using, mostly gathered from various other threads touting how to achieve high quality video.

I have an AMD FX 4300 quad processor and my graphics card is an EVGA GeForce GTX 1050, if any of that is relevant.

Let me know if I need to provide anything else or if I missed something.

Use simple settings
Recordng Quality: Indistinghisable Quality, Large File Size
Recording format FLV (In case of problem, you won´t loose all your footage. You can use OBS Remux to convert to MP4)
Encoder: NVENC (as you are using)

Hm, the video is still turning out blurry.

In your video, the window title and windows taskbar are missing, but they're present in your screenshot. Are you cropping those in OBS? How are you hiding them from the video?

I'm using Window Capture and they're just not there. I don't think I changed anything to hide them.

The window isn't fullscreen, is what I'm getting at. So if you have a window capture in OBS that is slightly smaller than your fullscreen resolution, and in OBS you resize it to fill the whole preview, your video will be blurred because of the small upscale you're doing. Is that maybe what's happening here?

So what should I do instead? I can't make the game take up any more of the screen than it's currently doing. And I just toyed with doing display capture instead, so it records my entire monitor screen and that only slightly helped. It's still blurrier than the game screen.

Lossy compression will always look slightly worse than the original, that's going to be unavoidable. All you can do is make the input to it as good as you can.

Then I guess I've done as best as I can do. Thanks for the help. And you too Ebrito.

I just installed OBS and found the same problem. After tried many setting, I search google and find a Youtube Video:

The problem is on Video setting, Output resolution is different from Base resolution, it caused the text blurry.
