Test Encoding

For testing purpose it would be nice for a dummy encode option, where it goes through everything needed to transmit the stream, but doesn't. Which would be useful for testing performance. Right now you have to start streaming, stop streaming, fiddle with options, rinse and repeat. It really messes with viewers.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but if you want to preview the effects it has on your system or something, the preview button does use the encoder. Preview and streaming are identical except that streaming actually outputs to a network.

Ahhh, yeah that's what I was referring to. I was running with OBS last night for a few hours, but wasn't broadcasting, so I didn't get a chance to see what load looks like while streaming. When you broadcast with Xsplit it starts the encoder, it's not going by default. So when you start streaming with xsplit, the load about doubles compared to just having xsplit open.
