Question / Help Terrible Quality

I used the nvenc as a test and was not at all happy with it so I disabled it however the quality seems to have stayed with the nvenc. There is barely any CPU being used so it points that it is using nvenc. Framerate in-game is high enough but the framerate during stream is terrible. Quality is bad too.

The log file shows clearly that you switched back to encoding with x264, and the VOD quality looks to be in line with the settings you're using. Buffering/hitching during a live stream is a network/routing/bandwidth issue between Twitch and a viewer, and is unique for everyone. If the VOD plays back fine (which it does) then the live stream was fine as well.

Hm, OBS doesn't appear to be actually experiencing any actual framerate issues according to that log. It appears to be performing great in fact, does this happen when you output to file and view with MPC/VLC?

i will try local recording of the same settings and see what happens.

let's say for sake of argument, local recording looks considerably better, what could be the issue? bandwidth is 5mbit upload so doing 3k bitrate shouldn't be an issue. why would the framerate specifically be so bad?

Reason why we typically ask that is because flash can be really poor at decoding, you're at 720p 60fps so sometimes that can push flash farther than it can handle and cause it to perform poorly. Just trying to narrow down the exact problem.

off the bat, are there any settings that you would recommend to increase the quality of detail?

hello there. so local recording definitely shows better quality, which is good.

so i upped the resolution/framerate to 1080p/48fps and did a test. a few builds ago, i was NOT able to stream this and play very well. now i'm not doubting your programming skills and/or any crazy good updates to x264, but the amount of cpu required for veryfast seems to be much lower.

i'm not getting an lag in-game when i would previously. gotta say, this is pretty sick.
