Hey Guys got a small problem with my webcam and OBS. when I try to add a webcam to my Screen It will not show the cam in the preview area above all the settings and on the main screen of OBS there is just a small red dot for the frame of the cam when in the settings. I have a Technet 1080p HD webcam with all drivers up to date and OBS Studio up to date. my 720p webcam will work but not the 1080p one. the webcam works with all other programs like skype and xsplit. not sure what the problem could be any help would be great thanks a ton.

Same issue, the webcam works with skype, but not with OBS. Even closing other apps that might be using it (like Skype) does nothing, so I'm guessing it's just an issue with OBS not supporting that particular webcam (which is a shame, cause it's a great cam)

Does anyone have a workaround for this problem? I use the "Tecknet HS1080P" webcam. It works well with the Windows 10 camera app. OBS Studio lists the camera as "HD1080 Webcam" in the drop down menu for the video devices, but there is no video signal, no red border in the preview window.
Uninstalling all old webcam drivers and reinstalling new drivers makes no difference. I sent the first camera back to amazon because I thought the camera was broken, but the second had the same problems.
I am happy that my logitech c922 worked well, but I still need another video stream for detail pictures.
Please help? :)
