Question / Help Tearing Video Tip. Enable Desktop Composition

I have been working on a tearing issue for a week now, Tried every tip imaginable, so I thought!!

On all our mission-critical windows machines we set the advanced system settings for best performance, which disables Aero and several other options.

Several OBS forum tips say to not click the disable aero in the OBS settings but if you have done it already in windows, well its already off regardless of OBS setting and I overlooked it, for a week, of pure misery.

Enabling Desktop Composition option in advanced windows settings fixed my tear after installing new cards, recreating input sources, installing software, trying 32-bit version and every combination of resolution and FPS possible didn't do anything but change the speed of the tear or its position.

This is a Windows 7 tip, you cannot disable Aero on Windows 8/10 because the desktop compositor is always on
