I posted this three days ago and there are zero responses, so i am going to post the problem again, since I doubt anyone will see the old post anymore.
I'm pretty new to streaming, and only got started because of the pandemic which makes it impossible to perform where I would usually do so. I installed OBS on a friend's recommendation, and on the first try a couple of weeks ago it went pretty well other than the volume being a little low, which was my fault for setting the levels too low. I hit "start streaming" and a live video appeared on Youtube (I had already gotten the streaming key), which continued as long as I was streaming. I tried to do another show Monday, and nothing worked. I tried again today, and I can use the Youtube key, save that in settings, start streaming, and hit "go live" in youtube as I did at the first stream, but all i get is "waiting". I have tried generating a new key both from OBS and from Youtube (and copying), even though the same key should - according to youtube - work for multiple streams. Neither option works. The log of the successful stream has disappeared but I have attached the logs of the unsuccessful attempt to stream on Monday and the unsuccessful attempt today. I am supposed to stream again in two days so urgently need help on this!
Or I need to find some better software; I am starting to think that you get what you pay for.......

I'm quite new to streaming too and I've had some trouble doing streaming a couple of days ago, for which I couldn't connect to youtube server. I solved in "settings" -> "advanced" -> "network" -> "bind to IP" changing from the IP it was showing to "default". But I'm not sure this is your problem... if hitting "go live" on OBS you get no error message, everything should work fine, the problem shouldn't be on OBS's side, it could be, for example, in your connection. In this case you could try to lower the bitrate ("setting" -> "output"). It is quite normal to have a little delay between OBS and what you see in youtube, so since you hit "go live" in OBS you have to wait a while to see something in youtube (to me it happened up to a minute, but usually is about 30 secs).
