What are the supported file formats for recording video? I know .flac and .mp4 are supported, but are there any others? Because recording in .flac creates much superior video quality when streaming alongside then you get out of .mp4. But the drawback is i can't find any video editing software that supports .flac. Unless i need to change any settings in OBS to get better quality .mp4 files without having to crank up the bitrate to hinder viewers from being able to watch.

The file format is irrelevant for quality, it depends on the bitrate.

FLAC is for audio only and not supported in Flash player, I'm not sure how it's relevant here. Did you mean FLV?

lol yeah i meant .flv. I feel stupid now cause i've been trying to look up using flac instead of flv. Can delete this post. Now that i know i've been mislead by my own stupidity.
