Question / Help Support for X265/VP9

Hi Jim,

I know this is early, but what are the outlooks for supporting these new codecs? Of course Twitch has to support them, but YouTube will be switching to VP9 according to the latest CES 2014 rumors.

As for VP9, last I heard the encoder was so slow it would take three months to encode one movie. Unless Google can drastically improve that, its nowhere near being ready for livestreaming, and by the time it is, x265 may well have already taken over.
