Support for video feed next to controls

I would like support for a more horizontal usage mode than the current version. This would only extend to being able to move the video feed to left of the controls instead of above them. This would allow me to view the entire OBS window below a 720p window on a 1080p monitor. Something that I'm guessing several others would appreciate.
Implementation: Maybe when I resize the window to something like this

instead of the usual

the video feed could move by itself? Or maybe just a toggle with a descriptive name in the settings. "Video feed location Next To/Above controls" or whatever.

This has actually been suggested before, and it will not be done in the current version of OBS. The UI is currently hardcoded, and moving the control panel and changing the way the preview scales is less than trivial.

However, one objective of the ongoing OBS rewrite is to make it easier to change and make user interfaces for OBS, so it will most likely be added at some point in some UI.
