I was testing several streaming options today, but I was struggling to find an optimal setting that I was happy with. All the streams I tried just came out all pixelated and blurry, to some extent or another.
I'm running an Intel i5 (3.5 Ghz), with an NVidia GTX 950, 8GB of RAM and a 22" monitor (which is 1080p capable). The only problem I have, is that my upload speed is only ~0.8Mps. The Estimator on this site suggested I stream at a 480p resolution, with a max bit rate of about 680. However, with that high a bit rate, I get huge amounts of lag (especially on games like TF2), which means I have to lower the bit rate, but this just makes my streams look bad.
Can anyone suggest to me what I can do to better improve the quality of my streams (aside from changing ISPs, and given where I live, I don't think that'll make much difference), or what settings I should try?
