Suggestion/Request: A timer

Hello,

Not sure how popular the idea is, but it would be nice to set OBS to record for a certain period of time. If I have to leave the house but still want to keep recording something, it would be nice to be able to choose when the recording stops, instead of having to record for whatever period of time I'm gone.

OBS was originally planned for streaming (as far as I know) which is why the recording options are not that widely spread. But for OBS-MP with time more features will be added. I think an option to pause a recording is also planned for example.
Setting a recording time could probably be done as well, but it might be a bit lower priority.
If you happen to be a coder or know one, feel free to do it. But talk with the devs on how to implement it first!
