Suggestion for OBS with Avermedia Encoding.

I stream everything and play on one computer. I still have the avermedia card back then for the encoding of xsplit. and i wanted to suggest maybe adding the encoding feature for OBS since we already have quicksync nvenc and cpu encoding. i have no knowledge about coding language (C++ etc) but wouldn't it be a nice feature to add for most of us who have avermedia cards?

This is already integrated in the unreleased obs-studio (multi platform) version.

But for streaming the quality isn't that great.

It's actually not too bad, but it's a bit more suited for recording rather than streaming. Streaming really needs a bit more efficient encoding to get the image to the viewer with a bit more clarity with less bitrate.

Makes sense, but xsplit allows you to stream with the encoding and looks fine for 720p (just dislike xsplit allot) it just made me curious on how you guys think about it, and if it would ever be implemented.

Happy holidays <3

"Fine" is subjective. Using 3500 bitrate with 720p seemed decent to me however, so it can work for streaming as long as you jack up the bitrate to twitch's desired limit. Lower than that however and you really start noticing the inefficiency of the encoder when compared with x264, especially with details and higher motion.
