Question / Help Suggested settings for FFXIV

I recently upgraded my PC to the following specs and was wondering if anyone had advice on good settings since my game is blurry and pixelated when streaming.

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Hero LGA 1150 Intel Z87
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5 Haswell Overclocked to 4.2GHz Quad-Core
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133
Video Card: Gigabyte GV-R787OC-2GD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB

I was thinking of upgrading to an Nvidia 680 but wasn't sure if that would help any or should 7870 be enough to handle 720p60fps. I have included my logfile.

For an MMO, I recommend 3000 bitrate for a good quality picture if you are going for 720p60fps. Even then, there is still going to be a lot of full scene motion, so your quality is probably never going to be as great as you would like.

Ok cool. I will try 720p48fps (I think I read that somewhere on here) and that doesn't work I will 30fps. When I fully wake up I will also post a link to the VODs so you can see my results. As usual, you guys are great and I thank you for your prompt reply. Now start saving for my 680!!!

I can't remember where I read it but I heard the 680 outperformed the 770. I am probably wrong though. I don't plan on getting a 4GB card at least because I also read they are no better than 2GB or 3GB. Is that true? I would like to order it this weekend so I can get it on Monday. Thanks for the help.

With next gen consoles and all their memory coming out, it's very likely you'll start seeing PC gaming needing more and more VRAM as well.

I think you're going to be happy with all the VRAM once next gen console ports start happening. If I wasn't already on a Kepler GPU myself, I would upgrade to a 770. Sadly, nVidia decided to only make the 780 the new architecture, so there's not really a ton of reason for me to upgrade until 800 series =/
