Question / Help Suddenly having dropped frames and redlined bitrate.

I've been using the same OBS settings to stream for about a month. 2000 bitrate. Never had any problems until today.

Stream started out fine for a couple hours when suddenly I started having massive frame drops (around 50%), and redlining bitrate. bitrate was fluctuating constantly up and down, stream was lagging, etc.

I've done a speed test, upload rate is around 4.5mbps (slightly higher than usual), called my ISP who ensured me that they never throttle, restarted router and modem, plugged directly into modem, and tried several different Twitch servers, none of which worked.

I'm starting to think this issue has something to do with Twitch and not OBS. Any ideas? Thanks!

Twitch had some server issues earlier today, according to their tech support Twitter account.
Network fluctuation happens though; can just get stuck with a bad route somewhere upstream, some days.
