Question / Help Sudden lag spikes

Im trying to stream league of legends but for some reason it sometimes lags very hard.

- streaming on twitch
- 1680x1050 downscaled to 700p 30 fps
- quality 8
- bitrate 4000
- buffer 4000
- My internet speed: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2461685359.png

This occurs randomly whenever i have 1 viewer. When the spikes happen my in game latency goes sky high while i have never experienced lag. When i close obs and restart it, it will be fine but sometimes the lag comes back.

Is it maybe a setting im doing wrong or what is the cause and how can i prevent it?

Have you tried the latest test (467 test 5)? It has a fix for ping-related issues.

For what it's worth, that is entirely too high of a bitrate for what you're streaming at. Twitch really hasn't been able to handle anything over 3500 for the last few weeks.

@dodgeping I havnt tried that yet, but ive changed the bitrate/buffer to 3000 and the lag seems to be gone now.

@dramabomb I think that streaming at 4000 was the problem yes, at 3000 it works nicely however havnt had to many viewers to test it with xD
