Question / Help Sudden FPS Issues

I've been using OBS to record gameplay using the replay buffer feature (not streaming) for a while now and have never had any issues, but just noticed in the last week or so that all my recordings have been choppy like its dropping frames.

What would cause a sudden issue like this to arise, and how can I resolve it?

Get us a cleaner log with you not trying to game capture discord.

Hmm that's weird... Is it possible that's using up cycles and is a cause, or a red herring? I didn't realize I had that in there...

It's very possible that it's using up cycles. Discord is NOT an opengl or direct3d application, so it CANNOT be game captured.

Let me run through a game now that I've deleted some extraneous stuff and see if the problem persists. As a side note, trying to edit some settings per some of the guides I've read is difficult due to what appears to be a graphical issue in the settings menu:

That's you using scaling that isn't 100% in windows. It's a known thing.

Try changing the encoder to the low cpu use one.

Unfortunately, no luck there...

It's also not limited to any specific game, it seems to happen with multiple.
