sudden CPU overcharge

So i open obs like every other day to record my game but for some reasons, without any modifications on my settings now when i record the CPU hits 50 or even 60 percent (the video capture ofc is laggy). I can't put my finger on why this is happening, any ideas ?

I feel like this is due in part to a recent windows update. I have noticed an uptick of cpu usage in obs with no changes previously and there are a few others who've also noticed the same thing.

Although it's easy to always blame the most recent Windows update for every upcoming PC/App issue, whatever it is, it isn't usually the reason for the issue.

I can't speak for anyone else but I know on my end, these issues were non-existent before the most recent windows 11 update and I know i am not the only one that has noticed it.
