Question / Help SubAlert not working with latest OBS version

Hi All,

I have discovered that SubAlert has stopped working.

OBS version 0.638b
SubAlert 0.71

When I do try to use it, this show up:

There you can see my source settings. Now, when I try the "test follower", nothing happens in OBS and its just a static image.

Would logs help? Let me know.

Need to hit 'select region' then click outside, then hit OK. You have to do this every time you restart OBS.
It's a standing problem with how SubAlert works/creates the borderless window it uses for alerts.
Really annoying; it'd be quite a bit better if Red would just use a standard window, and let people select a sub-region of it so OBS could grab it and use a persistent setting... I have no idea why he went with the new method. Have been looking into alternatives myself because even if it's a minor annoyance to have to do this every time, it's easy to forget.

If you already knew all this stuff, sounds like an issue on your system... I'm using both of those versions, and so long as I remember to re-capture the window, it works.

Try deleting the source and creating a new one. I remember someone else having an issue with a window capture grabbing a chunk of desktop instead, and delete/new fixed it for them.
