I've been recording Fallout New Vegas with OBS for the past while now, and occasionally the recording will stutter and drop frames, even though the game itself is staying at a smooth 60 fps. I also had a similar problem when playing Dishonored, but not when playing Resident Evil 4.
Here is the log file.
I have already installed a number of mods for Fallout New Vegas that are supposed to make it run better, including the 4GB patcher, NVSE, the stutter remover, the anti-crash, various .ini edits, ENBoost (which I have also tried removing, nothing changes) and a few more. If anyone has any idea what's wrong, I'd be incredibly grateful.
Thanks.
EDIT: I have messed around with a couple of my settings. I tried changing the encoder I use to either of the NVENC ones, and the x264 one, and neither fixed it. Changing the bitrate down to only 5000 didn't solve the problem, and just made it look terrible, so it's not related to that. Common FPS Value doesn't change anything either. Changing the NVENC H.264 preset from Quality to Performance didn't change anything. I'm not sure if any of these things I'm testing would fix it, but I'd rather test these than not test them. I did also do the registry edit to turn off game mode, which I hadn't already done until now.
