Stuttering on monitoring device

Hi,

I've noticed suttering in my monitoring device. Here's the thing:

- It only happens on my end. Stream is fine.
- I use a streaming PC with a gaming input that varies between NDI (gaming PC) or capture card (consoles). Issue happens with both.
- I use bluetooth headphones (Sony, really nice ones).
- I haven't noticed any stutter from other sources, such as music tracks.

There's another symptom that might be related (or not).
- When someone redeems a sound command, I often get a buzzing sound as it plays, but I wouldn't call it stuttering. Once again, stream is fine. It's only on my end.

What could it be? Is there any issue with OBS and the headphones? Some kind of weird buffering going on?

I know OBS has an issue with (at least these) wireless headphones as it doesn't output monitoring sound if the device is connected after OBS is turned on, but I've had no issues until a few weeks ago. When I did, I assumed it was because I was playing a PS2 game and the connection was a bit weird, so I can't say there was something that changed.

Any hints are appreciated.

Can confirm I receive the same issue with two separate sets of bluetooth headphones, Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 2.0 and AKG N700s. Both sets of headphones are fine plugged in but the moment I open OBS I get stuttering from any audio source playing on my PC. Have resorted to using these headphones wired and there is no issue.

To anyone else using bluetooth headphones here's a suggestion.

I used to have a problem where if for any reason the headphones disconnected, I'd have to restart OBS so they'd be recognized and I got audio from OBS again. This meant restarting a stream or continuing without sound.

I now use Voicemeeter and have the output in OBS set to Voicemeeter. That means even if the heaphones disconnect, OBS doesn't register a change in hardware and all I have to do once the headphones are connected again is restart the Voicemeeter engine.

I think it helps with the stuttering too, however I can't be certain because I also have an NDI source and sometimes it stutters from that end. I just can't conclude that it fixes the issue completely.
