Hi, i just downloaded OBS and i'm trying to record something...
But when i click on "Start Streaming" this error appears: unable to create the file output stream. check the file path in broadcast settings.

So i go to Settings ---> Broadcast Settings and the "File Path" tab is blank.
I click on Browse and then... what? I want to save my video in Desktop, but i can't click on "Save".

What am i supposed to do?

I think I'm having the same problem as Krirub. It's not that we haven't tried to choose a file path, it's that when I tried to hit save, nothing.

???

@Dylan_TheKid, taken from our FAQ in the online help file: http://jp9000.github.io/OBS/general/faq.html#13

I got an error "Could not initialize DirectX 10 on [your GPU]"

  • Your graphics card does not have sufficient support for DirectX 10. It does not matter if you have newer versions of DirectX software installed; your hardware does not support the necessary features, and no you cannot do anything about it apart from upgrading it.

I'm getting the same error, but for what feels to be a more awkward problem. Everything works fine when the file extension is .flv or .mp4; but anything else, like .avi or .wmf results in that error dispite the rest of the file paths remaining unchanged.
