Question / Help Streaming with obs

Hi.
I've have an idea to start streaming League of legends. The problem is that I really suck at setting up my OBS. What I mean is that I can set it up so I could stream but I have FPS drops in-game while doing it. What I am looking for is some help for settings which could fit for that game and my PC. First problem probably is that is my PC even good enough to stream the game.

My stuff is running on vista, 2quad CPU q6600 @2.40 GHz, 4GB ram, 64bit OS and radeon HD 5450 1GB.

I Would appreciate if i could get some tips with the settings or just a answer if I can stream at all.

Thank you for the log. Hm, your PC should be okay for streaming. Not great, but league of legends should be fine.

Eep, windows vista. That'll be a bit of a performance hit too unfortunately, but I still think you should be okay.

Things seem oaky otherwise with the log. Are you having trouble configuring it? Are you having any particular problems? Your settings are actually pretty okay, and you don't seem to have any dropped frames.

Well yeah because im playing with stable 60 FPS. When I turn on OBS and start streaming my FPS starts jumping between 45-60. I don't know if it is supposed to happen or not.

Yea I'm not entirely surprised, you just might have to downscale a little bit more to compensate.

Most likely the video downscale; that CPU is rather on the older, weaker side to handle video encoding at 1024x768. Try either going to a 1.5 downscale (in the video encoding section of the settings, the dropdown box) or switch to a faster encoding preset (default Veryfast, go to Superfast or Ultrafast under the Advanced section in the settings... be aware that this WILL make your video look a bit worse as far as image fidelity).

well should be workin ... drop the downscale and try 20 or 25 fps presets as ferret said ... probably ultrafast will be your way to go
